Pakistan Lifestyle Furniture Expo 2019
A 3-days mega furniture exhibition held at Jumeirah Palace, 4km Daewoo Express Terminal Road, Opposite to Riaz ul Jannah Housing Scheme from Friday, 29th March till Sunday 31st March 2019.
This mega event graced by several Guests of Honors including Mr. Rizwan Ashraf (Chairman APTPMA) Mr.Habib ur Rehman Chairman Standing Committee on Technical Education FCCI, Mr. Rana Zahid Mahmood Candidate for Mayor, Rana Sikander Azam Khan Vice Chairman Anjamene Tajran Faisalabad and Mr. Waqar Nasir Chairman PYMA with delegation.
This mega event attended by Government bodies leading businessmen, Faisalabad Chamber of Commerce, Members of Assembly Faisalabad, stakeholders of the furniture industry.
The top 50 Furniture brands exhibited at the event. Master Molty Foam was the official sponsor of the event, while Master Celeste, Wood Castle, Chinese Craftsmen, Wood Structures, Purani Yadain, Shaaran Interiors, Empire Furnishers, Ameer Brothers, , Lotus International, Creative Interiors, E-Fire, Cannon Caricia, Decent Art Collection, The furnishers, Wajid Handicraft, Wood Way, Grand Carpet, Nawab Furnitures & Interiorss etc, were the other major exhibitors.
50,000 visitors had attended this event,Visitors on the lookout for buying furniture were able to enjoy special discount of up to 50% on different items exhibited at the event.
This exhibition also provided the younger designers and architects to see the market trends and display their own work alongside that of more established professionals.
Pakistan’s wood industry is well developed and captures 95% of the country’s total market for furniture. The country has more than 700 units of wooden furniture with Chiniot, alone meets 80% of furniture demand in the country, Gujarat, with world-class furniture, Peshawar, Lahore and Karachi being important centers.
Director of Pakistan lifestyle furniture expo said that import of furniture items could create a viable threat of unemployment in local furniture industry. The furniture industry in Pakistan has great potential as it can be both a labor intensive and capital-intensive sector. Skilled craftsmen can create unique pieces while large scale factories can produce many identical units in both cases adding to the employment. “He said local furniture industry has a great potential and there is only a need of the patronization of the government and if furniture sector will be given a status of an industry, he is optimistic that it will bring multiple socio-economic benefits. He further demanded that the government must provide subsidies for growth of furniture sector especially in the preliminary stages besides removing hurdles in the promotion of furniture sector in Pakistan.
President Sargodha Chamber of Commerce and Industry Mirza Fazal ur Rehman (President, SCCI) did closing ceremony of this mega event.
